Abstract

The robust design method is a kind of engineering design method which developed in recent years, the guidelines are integrated taking into account uncertainties factors change in a small scale do not affect the sensitivity of design object and make the best design for finding the best design result in the design process.Therefore the essence of the robust design is an optimization problem.Robust design is a method of optimum design which actual effect is very significant.For example, it makes product performance insensitive to material change, it makes product insensitive to variation in the manufacture, it makes product insensitive to environmental change, which improves product sreliability. Robust design is an engineer method which ensures high quality of product.This text is on the basis of combining the development of engineering robust design in the recent years, establishing multi-stage gear system analysis model based on the sensitivity .By analysing uncertainty factor of gear and axes in gear wheel transmission system.the designer can apply the method to find an optimum that will remain feasible when subject to variation, and the designer can minimize or constrain the effects of tolerances as one of the objectives or constrains of the design problem.In the final,the robust optimal results are compared with optimalr esults and common design results and discussed and analyzed.
