The main work of mine winch can be used for material transportation under mine, mine car controller and installation, disassembly and transportation of all kinds of equipments on each occasion such as mine excavating and transporting. The mine winch is indispensable equipment and plays irreplaceable effect in procedure of mine production process. In order to be adapted to narrow work space under mine, big traction force and facility operation, adopting the planet drive wheel in mine winch drive system becomes a research direction in current mine winch design.This paper took optimization design for the planet drive wheel of a mine winch for the mission. It built the optimization mathematic model of planet wheel with the minimum planet gear volume as the objective. It calculated optimization parameters under Sequential quadratic programming (SQP) in MATLAB optimized tool. Then this paper took UGNX5.0 as software platform, built the entire parameterization three-dimension (3-D) models for involutes gear and accomplished the function of the entire parameterization model for involutes gear based on an UGNX5.0 secondary technology. This tool not only built all 3-D models in the design, but also solved the problem above. The implement reduced the difficulty degree of building models of involutes gear, raised the quality of models and established a basis for follow-up simulations. Based on 3-D models of planet wheel, this paper used analytical module of motion in UGNX5.0 for motion simulation and used the finite element method for stress analysis on the different duty respectively. Motion simulation analysis indicated that the planet wheel built precisely satisfied with requirements of the mine winch in kinematics motion. Stress analysis results suggested that the planet wheel designed was according with intensity and deformation requirements of the mine winch completely. In summary, it can be put in use safely.Through this research, it not only accomplished optimization design for the planet drive wheel of mine winch, established 3-D model of the planet drive wheel and conducted simulation analysis, but also developed a set of model building system for involutes gear under entire parameterization drive and provided a feasible road to raise efficiency in gear model building for the future.
