With more than twenty years of rapid development, China has become the largest producer of motorcycles. In the international market competition, some domestic motorcycle companies are gradually aware that the products which only focus on basic functions can not compete with those produced by well-known overseas companies, and that they must pay much attention to the safety of motorcycle to develop motorcycle products with high safety if they expect to enter the market of high-end products. In this thesis, the safety of motorcycle has been systematically studied from the angle of industrial design and been analyzed combining with an actual motorcycle design project, aiming to provide reference for designing high-end motorcycles with more safety.In this thesis, motorcycle safety is studied from three aspects: man-machine relationship, modeling shape and color. In man-machine relationship, static, dynamic and interface man-machine relationship have been chosen as research directions, and important components of human-machine such as pedals are analyzed in detail. In modeling shape, basic principles of safety design are summarized and some parts of motorcycle such as seats and signal lamps are studied in-depth. In color, the principles of safety design are summarized from the combination of theoretical knowledge and excellent cases. An actual motorcycle design project is introduced in this thesis to explain the application of above three factors in the safety design of motorcycle.This thesis is of original creation for the systematically study of motorcycle safety form the angle of industrial design and is for reference to motorcycle companies to develop safer and more competitive products which can bring more economic benefits, by providing an example of motorcycle with high safety.
